Ladies and Gentlemen - FRETS ON FIRE

Like Guitar Hero? You are going to LOVE frets on fire!

This is a PC game with some awesome features which will have fret masters wetting at the knickers.
So, its a guitar hero clone... but it has 2 awesome features :

1. Track editor! Download audacity, save your mp3 as an ogg file, use the frets editor and build your fret board to correspond with the music (and its easy as hell)

2. GUITAR SUPPORT! Thats right meahniacs, you can plug in your USB Guitar from the Guitar Hero / Rock Band games and fret like a fucker! No Guitar? Turn your keyboard upside down, and use it as a guitar! (Im using a laptop so Ive been really not getting the best experience... but my USB Guitar Hero X-Plorer is in the post now

I've been addicted to this game for a few days now and have even fretted some tracks. I will upload tracks for those who really want them and have an interest in building and sharing tunes.

So, heres a modded version of Frets on Fire. This one is a kinda imitation of Guitar Hero. There are loads more mods out there.

For help building your tracks, visit www.fretsonfire.net . But after a few attempts and a little patience you WILL be able to rock em out

Heres a pre-compiled build for you. Just unzip to your desktop, run frets on fire, and your away!

I've only added 3 songs to keep the filesize down. Included are :

Motorhead : The Game
Rush : Summertime Blues (fretted by myself)
Thin Lizzy : Boys are back in town

Also , if people are having difficulties with the track editor (I.E Crashes) then also let me know. You might need an un-modded version of the game... which I also have.

No tracks in this version but im going to upload some now.

After you download frets on fire... extract to your desktop. Open up the folder... you will see a data folder. Inside there you will see another folder named "songs". simply extract the shawn michaels folder and place the whole folder inside songs.

so will look like this

FOF > DATA > SONGS > SHAWN MICHAELS THEME

reet it downloaded, but theres no "songs" folder in data, theres a winrar file called "library"....do i unzip that somewhere??

EDIT: nvm i got the song in there, but it doesnt register that ivve made the correct notes :S

This sounds like fun, and I already have audacity so I'ma gonna give this one a shot. It'll be teh suck on my craptop, but I'll get a USB Guitar Hero X-Plorer offa e-bay soon enough.

hopefully my xplorer will arrive today. got it mailed to chief strongbows so i dont have to carry it up to his house later for some drunken meah guitar bollocks. sigh.
